Doctor’s Cave Beach is rich in history and was first opened in 1906. Dr. Alexander James McCatty donated this small stretch of sand, which could only be accessed through a cave, hence the beach’s name. The beach was founded as a bathing club near the seaside. The cave has since been destroyed by a hurricane, and the beach is no longer an exclusive bathing club, but a festive oceanfront location where there’s always a party atmosphere.
